Pattern Wires

Introduced on 5-19-01.

Need something a bit fancier than a plain collar? You might be in the market for a collar hand crafted from Sterling Silver pattern wire. This wire is ideal for both my special Screw-Down Collars and Normal Catch style Collars (goto Collar Page).

The wire pictured to the left is #J off the list below. Until 9-2003, it was the only pattern wire my suppliers had that I thought was suitable for my collars. *Note: Generally this wire is kept in stock.

Due to a new metal supplier I now have a few additional pattern wires available. The list below shows these new wires. Other than #J, all the wires are not kept in stock. These are considered specialty items and may take an additional week or so to produce your order.

Like all my collars, these are custom sized to your anatomy. With the Non-Screw Down Collars, there may be levels of adjustment built in.

Non-Screw Down Collars are held together with common methods found on most jewelry today (i.e. lobster clasps, spring rings, and hook-and-eye clasps).

The following prices are for Pattern Wire #J only, and while the price will fluctuate between pattern wires all the various pattern wires will be in the same ballpark.

#J Non-Screw Down Collar = $105 +(s&h)

#J Screw Down Collar = $130 +(s&h)

*Notes:

  • Collars Bigger than 17" will be slightly more expensive due to extra metal needed.
  • Prices subject to change without warning due to metal market fluctuations.
  • *14k Gold Available in #J: This material is a custom order from my metal supplier. Email me for Pricing and timing

Pattern "Mega"

Introduced on 7-19-05.

Ok, now THIS is way fancy! You will not be overlooked while wearing the "Mega" pattern. At 3/4" wide, this pattern requires four (4) screws to hold it together (or 2 chains). This is the widest pattern collar I currently offer. Guaranteed to get you a lot of "Oooooo's" and "Ahhhhh's" and even a few "Wow's". I recently took this collar out to a lifestyle party to show it off. First thing I heard from almost everyone was "Wow, would you look at that!"... "Never Seen anything like it!"... "Oh, How Cool!"

I will offer this wire for a while and see how it is accepted. If the masses seem to like it, then I will continue to make it, however, if it is not popular, I will pull it from my collar line. So, if you like it, start saving for yours today.

This wire is ideal for both my special Screw-Down Collars and Normal Catch style Collars *Note: Currently this wire is not kept in stock, but will be ordered after your order is placed.

"Mega" Non-SD Collar = $145 up to 16.5" +(s&h)

"Mega" Screw Down Collar = $190 from 16.5" to 22" +(s&h)

Pattern Wire "Duce"

Pattern "Duce"

Introduced on 2-19-05.

Fancy and Eligant; pattern wire "Duce" is wider and heaftier than pattern "J", yet not as overpowering as the "Mega". Measuring in at over 1/3" wide, this pattern leaves many subbies and slaves gasping, wishing their partner had bought them one of these instead of "That leather one".

I will offer this wire for a while and see how it is accepted. If the masses seem to like it, then I will continue to make it, however, if it is not popular, I will pull it from my collar line. So, if you like it, start saving for yours today.

Gold-Filled Wire "J"

14/20 Gold-Filled Wire "J"

Introduced on 7-19-05.

Ok, so what is Gold-Filled wire? Well, here is a blurb taken from another site that explains it pretty well:

What Is "Gold-Filled"?
It is a layer of 10Kt or better gold mechanically bonded under heat and pressure to one or more surfaces of a supporting base metal, then rolled or drawn to a given thickness. In the jewelry industry the quantity of gold must be at least 1/20th by weight of the total product. Under FTC regulations, a product may be marked as 14, 12 or 10Kt Gold-Filled. Karat measurement of gold content must be part of the marking. These are minimum standards. Thus one might find 14/20GF or even 14 /10GF as a stamp to denote 1/20 14Kt Gold-Filled and 1/10 14Kt Gold-Filled. Gold-Filled items are generally considered life-time products, and the gold layer will not wear off, as it will in electroplated products. We do very occasionally find an individual who cannot wear this material, but it is extremely rare.

GF Collar = Call For Quote +(s&h)

Below are all available Pattern Wires. If the pattern has a red slash thru its letter, then it is NOT wide enough for the Screw-Down Feature, however, it can still be made into a clasp type collar.

Taking Measurements:

I suggest that my clients use either a dress-makers tape measure or even a piece of string. First measure the circumference around the neck, then begin to loosen the loop till you have the amount of play that feels comfortable (generally between 1/2" to 1-1/2" larger than the neck). Send me this measurement.

Or, if the wearer is going to be wearing clothing like turtle-neck shirts and you want to wear this collar on the outside, then have the wearer put on a turtle-neck, and take the measurement with the shirt on.

These are my common suggestions. In the end the fit of the collar is up to you or the wearer.

*Note: Measurement may be in Metric or Inch Standards.
