Wanted to give a testimonial on the platnium emblem rings.

Two years ago (mid-2000) I went to Quag looking to have the emblem ring made in platnium for my upcoming wedding. We already owned the ring in silver and knew we loved it. Platnium is the only metal my husband can wear without skin irritation and the emblem had special meaning for both of us.

To say the least, Quag was extremely accomodating and worked closely with you to make the very first platnium emblem ring, and it came out looking incredible! He gets so many compliments from people both inside and outside of the community.

Mike, I am disappointed with the ring I received because it is plated. It is supposed to be 10K solid gold. The plating is even already coming off and it brand new. Was there some confusion with my order?

Answer: "The item is 10k Solid Gold. I don't make plated Jewelry. If you see something flaking off, then it is not the gold....

Oh, I just thought of something, what color is the stuff that is coming off? If it is black or reddish, then it is simply buffing compound that did not get completely washed off during the final operation. Buffing compound is a very fine abrasive that is used to put a final shine on the metal, and is sometimes tough to wash out of the inside of items. Also, I finished making your ring at like 3am and might have just missed a little bit. The compound is harmless and washes off with soap and water. Anyrate, call me at home.

You have convinced me. It is a small thin black streak in the inside ID. You are correct, it is tough to remove. I guess it will eventually wear off.
